From the "Outbound Processing" menu, take the "Work With Orders" option. Once on the "Work With Orders" panel, locate the order and place the "Packing Slip" option next to it.
The packing slip will print on the same printer identified for the pick sheet on the order header screen. This is typically the printer set as the default for the account during account setup.
WDLS uses an exit point (PACKSTYLE) to determine the style of pick sheet that you wish to use for each account. For a packing slip of any kind to be generated, this exit point must be set. Below is an example of a standard packing slip.
At the top of the page the document is identified as a packing slip . At the upper right is the page number and the total number of pages . Beneath is the building name in WDLS. Next is storer address information. Following, you will see information from the header of the order. This includes the order date and order number as well as P.O. , reference , and invoice numbers if available.
Below will be the shipping and billing address information for the consignee.
In the body of the form, there is a list of the items to be packed. The items are sorted according to the pick sequence selected for the account during setup. Listed is the item number , item description , quantity , and the price that is entered into WDLS Extra Data. Below each item, comments associated with that item will be printed.
Below the last item listed on the packing slip, you will find the total number of pieces and the total price of the items. On the bottom of the last page of your packing list, the address the which returns should be sent will be printed. Information will be repeated for the date , time , and user that requested the pick ticket are printed.
WDLS also offers the option to print both the pick sheet and packing list in one option. This can be done from the "Work With Orders" panel. Place the "Prt Pick/Pack" option next to the desired order to send these documents to the designated printer.
